ASSISTANT CONTROLLER, Stockton/Tracy, CA area, #108775CL

If you’re seeking a dynamic, forward thinking, rapidly expanding organization that promotes growth and leadership, then Denham Resources has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Controller to join the team of our client, a highly successful, well-established company in the Stockton/Tracy area.

-Assist Corporate Controller with management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P and managing all aspects of the general ledger

-Coordinate and assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

-Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

-Coordinate and assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic program review audits

-Support month and year end close process

-Research accounting issues for compliance with general accepted accounting principles

-Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

-Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration

-5+ plus years’ proven accounting and finance experience

-Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

-Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)

-Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

-Excellent analytical skills, team and detail oriented with strong work ethic; time management and organizational ability

-Very good communication and interpersonal skills
