Landscape Supply Yard Crew Member

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to add to our crew at Element Landscape Materials, Inc. Working days are Tuesday-Saturday 8-4pm. Monday-Friday hours may be flexible to accommodate school schedules or other obligations. Saturday hours are consistent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing excellent customer service is a vital component of this position. Related duties include:

Greet all customers upon their arrival

Assist with material selections and creative solutions with customers

Answer phones

Assist in loading materials/supplies

Must quickly gain knowledge of all products and materials

Must keep yard and office tidy throughout the workday

May make deliveries as needed

Must be trained within first 30 days of employment to mix concrete, operate a loader and operate a forklift.

Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and a reasonably clean driving record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical effort applied in this job includes:

Safely lifting up to 75 lbs.

Pushing, reaching, prolonged standing.

Working varied shifts, longer hours as needed for the Element maintenance support functions.

Ability to work in disagreeable working conditions: Possible exposure to objectionable elements
