Position: Cellar Sanitation Operator
Job Description
The job is pertinent to perform cleaning of storage vessels and related, from grape receiving to bottling. Tasks will be assigned by the Cellar Supervisor by written Work Order (WO) as well as by verbal assignment as needed. Cellar Sanitation Operator will be asked to perform the below tasks and to comply with the job duties and responsibilities, along with observing safety procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
To be able to work safely
To be able to read, understand and execute WO assigned in writing or any other tasks assigned verbally
To be able to fill out WO and productivity track sheet
To be able to operate safely forklift and scissor lift
To be familiar with the imperial system (lb, oz)
To learn the metric system (g, Kg, ml, L) as this last one is the primary measuring unit system in use
To learn how to handle Haz Mat and Non-Haz Mat products used in cleaning and sanitation processes
To perform tanks and equipment cleaning/washing/ sanitation (includes use of Haz Mat chemicals)
To operate pumps and other equipment in use for the cleaning/sanitation processes (including CIP)
To be responsible of general housekeeping and cleaning of cellar
To assist cellar operators in their tasks when and if needed
To work at the bottling/packing line as needed
To be able to lift 50lb, stack and stand for long hours
Work attendance
8.00am – 5.00pm
40 hours per week
During harvest period, and whenever necessary, the employee will make himself available for overtime, including weekends.
Remuneration (regulated by Wage Order 13)
Hourly Pay Rate depending on experience and up to $14.50 per hour.
For those candidates with no experience the starting pay rate is 13.00$
