Overview Under general supervision of the Loan Production Manager, is responsible for overall administration and configuration for all features/functionality of Lending systems which includes loan origination systems, credit insurance, portfolio management, electronic documentation platforms. Provides assistance to the Loss Prevention Department in maintaining Collections platforms and Account Administration Department for electronic account opening. This position will leverage extensive system knowledge to collaborate and support business needs.

Responsibilities

Collaboration and Internal Business Partner
  • The position serves as the primary point of contact for questions, issue resolution, and enhancements of the designated platforms. Handles requests from internal users while troubleshooting issues in a timely manner and escalating items to manager/vendor tech support as needed.
  • Applies knowledge of credit union s business model to system configurations that satisfy all end user needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of Consumer Lending processes, procedures, and guidelines. Implement configurations to support compliance and regulatory standards Participate in vendor training to ensure optimal usage.
  • Uses technical expertise to collaborate with IT, as well as with other interfacing system administrators to ensure system interfaces are properly designed and consistent with corporate goals.
  • Works collaboratively with business units at all times to assist in the development of projects to meet Credit Union strategic objectives.

System Knowledge and Process Improvement
  • Works collaboratively with Consumer Lending Management to identify opportunities for improvements that could help streamline or automate processes.
  • Maintains basic working knowledge of other SCE FCU loan origination systems (e.g. account opening, leasing, indirect, insurance and collections).
  • Researches and recommends system configurations to optimize SCE FCU member and team member experience.
  • Works with electronic documents vendor on forms design, troubleshooting and mapping.
  • Works closely with Loan Production Manger to ensure vendor is continuing to provide regulatory/compliance solutions to protect the credit union.
  • Utilize portfolio management tool to analyze loan data and provide reports highlighting results.

Administration, Reporting, Testing and Documentation
  • Supports the management team in creating reports.
  • Works closely with Consumer Lending Management team to prepare, test, train and implement system enhancements or releases.
  • Implements system configurations, screen designs, rules, and workflows.
  • Tracks and reports system issues and defects.
  • Makes recommendations and reports findings to Loan Production Manager.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • A high school degree or GED is required. Two-year college degree or completion of a related specialized course of study at a business or trade school is preferred.
  • Three to five years lending and/or IT experience required.
  • Credit Union or other financial institution experience required.
  • Experience with Lending platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with current consumer lending laws and regulations, understanding of documentation relating to consumer loans, and/or familiarity with credit union philosophies and practices preferred.

  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly gain proficiency in new programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to properly safeguard confidential information.
  • Well-developed ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of the consumer loan process, documentation, requirements; governmental and agency requirements; and terminology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
