Job Description: Senior Dev Ops engineer is responsible for design, creation, configuration and delivery of Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment pipelines using best practices. The function of the role will include all technological aspects associated with build and deployment using devops tool chain for wide-spread of application technology stack. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. And troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.Highlights of a JD for the roles are included below.

Skills:
  • 4+ Years of Experience as Devops Engineer.
  • Code management best practices such as branching, merging, and integration strategies.
  • Experience in Release Engineering - Building, maintaining and deploying web/SaaS applications.
  • Design modular pipeline frameworks for CI/CD
  • Experience with various build tools (maven/gradle/ms build)
  • Experience with source code version control systems (Github) and methodologies
  • Exceptional skill in Management and orchestrating pipelines using Jenkins
  • Exceptional scripting experience (Groovy, Python, etc.)
  • Experience in deployment management tools like XL deploy
  • Exposure to Configuration management using Chef
  • Exposure to Containerization using Docker
  • Exposure to Virtualization and cloud platforms: AWS
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace).

Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day development operations
  • Build CI/CD systems using tools like Rally, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, Build tools, XL deploy, and Chef.
  • Design, lead and build an automated deployment tool set and infrastructure including environments, code management, CI and CD process
  • Help define and set best practices for code management, build, deploy and release across multiple teams/products in CI /CD model
  • Work closely with the software development team and other functional groups to develop and provide a robust, flexible and scalable platform
  • Work with the Development team to move the change, build & deploy process to highly automated way using Jenkins based pipelines.
