The Scrum Master role helps scrum teams reach peak productivity by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, assisting the Product Owner with maintaining a healthy and actionable backlog, identifying and resolving roadblocks, tracking progress, and identifying and acting on opportunities for continuous improvement. The Scrum Master also plays a critical role in the adoption of Scrum and other agile development practices by the organization, and being able to evangelize best practices and collaborate with other team members as to the methodology.To a lesser degree, the scrum master in this position will need to work closely with the Product Owner in scheduling, project planning, and reporting to stakeholders. This could entail requirements gathering, running project related meetings, and unblocking workstreams contributing to delivery.RequirementsMultiple years as a scrum master working in technology Agile teams and an understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.Multiple years working in a digital environment.Experience successfully delivering solutions on an aggressive schedule.Hands on experience with agile methodologies and enabling teams through coaching and being a master of your craft.Must be able to ensure that Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and applied.Hold a Certified Scrum Master (CSM or ACP) certification.Experience working in a multi-team and/or matrixed environment.Promote and demonstrate core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.Assist the team in tracking and communicating team progress and metrics.Support and empower the team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.Empower the team to self-organize around achieving their commitments and strive for continuous improvement.Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver against their commitments.Challenge and enable the team to continuously improve through intentional and data-driven inspect and adapt cycles (retrospectives).Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practices where appropriate.Ensure the team is tracking and communicating team progress and metrics to the appropriate resources.Coach and mentor others on Agile related topicsLead multiple Agile teams and drive Agile transformation across the enterprise.Manage schedules for deliveries and be able to report on timing and status.
