AiM offers a fast paced and existing work environment that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit and outside the box thinking.Due to its success and excellent service, AiM is expanding its Product Development team and now seeks a Product Manager that will work closely with the Vice President of Product & Strategic Development to create and execute a clear product vision. The Product Manager will lead product development initiatives by partnering closely with the business, software engineering teams, and our users (clients & employees). The Product Manager will be the advocate for our users through constant collaboration and translating their needs into actionable product roadmaps that the Product Manager will champion throughout the organization.We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that thrives in a fast-paced environment, challenges the norm with outside the box thinking, creates data driven solutions, and is a proven leader that can collaborate with multiple stakeholders. The role requires proven analytical, communication, leadership, and product development skills. The candidate will have a firm understanding of the Agile software development methodologies and exemplify an ethos of continuous improvement. A background in the automotive and/or auto auction industry is also a benefit but not a requirement.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for developing and executing a product vision that leads to profitable growth for the organization.
  • Owns the user research and requirement documentation for a product line.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all product documentation (i.e. Market Needs Documents, Business Cases, Product Road Maps, etc.).
  • Fulfills the “Product Owner” role within the product development team by creating user stories, prioritizing the backlog, and determining done / success.
  • Determines and answers the “What, Why, When” of the product and partners closely with the technical counterpart, the IT Technical Manager, as they determine the “How”.
  • Owns the research of partnership opportunities that will strengthen the product.
  • Partners closely with the Sales & Marketing team to determine product position, pricing, etc.
  • Partners closely with Product Analysts to complete market research, develop and update product metrics, etc.
  • Utilizes Agile software development methodologies to deliver continual innovation and value to our users within schedule and budget.
  • Champions the product within the organization with clear and compelling communication. Prepares communication(s) and leads / participates in meetings to update all stakeholders and users.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:The Product Manager does not have direct reports, but the role is a collaborative leader in the organization as the bridge between the business and the engineering teams. The Product Manager is part of and will lead the product development team as the Product Owner driving the product strategies.

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:1. Job Knowledge and Skill:The Product Manager role requires a mastery of collaborative leadership and communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders, users, and partners. The ability to build solid working relationships with users and at the same time to translate their business needs into technical requirements for the product development team. The ability to think strategically about the future of the product while taking into account multiple factors related to the product’s success. The Product Manager needs to be detail oriented, highly focused, and very organized in order to develop and maintain clear product documentation. The candidate needs to have a solid foundation in the Agile development methodology and constantly seek continued improvement. They need to be able to analyze large and complex amounts of information in order to generate data driven insights. Proven experience adapting and adopting new technology solutions. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize day-to-day responsibilities. They will need to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm, and be a constant champion of the product within the organization.2. Experience:At least 2 years in a product development role with Agile software development experience. Automotive and/or Mobility experience is a plus.3. Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations:A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, and/or a related field.4. Computer Skills:Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Power Point, Excel, Visio, Word, etc.), and mastery of project management software (i.e. Jira, Monday.com, etc.). Proven experience with SQL and business intelligence tools is a plus. Overall ability to adapt and adopt new technology as it becomes available.5. Communication Skills:Ability to excel in a team environment is required. Must be able to successfully interface with multiple teams and departments within the organization including our executive leadership. Ability to command multiple communication techniques coupled with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.6. Analytical Skills:Strong analytical skills are required with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to source, disseminate and properly apply secondary research. 7. Travel: Moderate travel is required (up to 25%).
