Remote start; qualified applicants will be able to sit on-site in Hartford or Norcross, GA. Must be able to work weekends occasionally. Our leading client in Hartford is seeking a Server Admin to ensure all IT issues are identified, diagnosed, resolved, and documented in a timely fashion.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Pay rate: $23/hr W2
Responsibilities of the Server Admin:- Work in a team environment to provide tier II server support
- Whole team averages about 100 tickets per day
- Server backup knowledge
- Vast knowledge of ticketing systems and dashboards
- Experience with ticketing and tracking systems for incident and change management
- Understand and support various OS: Windows, Unix, Solaris
- Understand and support various backup solutions: Avamar, Networker, Commvault
- Understand and support: VMware, Citrix, SAN solutions, Active Directory, DNS
- Understand and support various systems management tools: BMC products
- Understand and resolve complex IT server problems
- Understand and resolve complex computer hardware technical issues
- Understand, diagnose, and repair server hardware problems
- Understand and install hardware bios and firmware software
- Ability to technically articulate troubleshooting and repair processes and procedures
- Willing to learn and able to communicate well
