Principal Power Electronics Engineer Orange County, California Competitive Salary + Bonus New Principal Power Electronics Engineer position available to join a leading technology organization based in Orange County, California.The Principal Power Electronics Engineer is responsible for the power electronics / electrical design of a wide range of AC-DC switch-mode power supplies used within Industrial, Healthcare, and Technology applications.Key Responsibilities as a Principal Power Electronics EngineerPower Supply Design- Work in an R&D team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers and technicians on product design.
- Provide technical expertise in new AC-DC switch-mode power supply product design and modification of existing products.
- Responsible for the specification compliance of power supply designs
- Provide input to continuous improvement to the production technique.
- Ensure consistency in design reviews, verification, and qualification efforts
- Foster creativity and innovation in design solutions.
Requirements for the Principal Power Electronics Engineer positionEducation and experience- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering/Power Electronics or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years’ power electronics experience in AC-DC switch-mode power supply design from conception to production
- Experience of wide range of power supply topologies, including LLC, Flyback, Buck, Boost
- Deep knowledge of EMC, thermals, magnetic design, power electronics, analogue and some digital design
