Now Hiring: Wood Finisher / Sprayer

Blue Horizon Cabinet Company is looking for someone who wants a paint finishing career and who is interested in becoming a leader in this area of our business. Experience in finishing is absolutely welcome, but is not necessary. This is the perfect opportunity to learn a new trade, as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Required:

Driver's License

High school diploma or equivalent

Attention to detail.

Willingness to be a team player and also work independently

Strong communication skills.

Ability to follow directions and ask questions as needed.

Helpful but not necessary:

Experience with spray guns and lacquer-based paints/stains.

Experience with sanding.

Experience with glazing and shading techniques

An eye for color

Ability to distinguish wood species

Responsibilities:

Proper and consistent spray and wiping technique.

Quality check of product throughout process.

Maintain appropriate levels of paint and supplies for work station.

General spray equipment maintenance and cleaning.

Identify and know colors.

Product knowledge.

Ability to keep the paint area organized as a new hire would be responsible for keeping track of particular paints/stains required for projects.

Take on other duties in the shop if needed.

Work with shop owner to increase work efficiencies and to ensure job deadlines are met with little to no errors in work.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday - Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with overtime required as needed.
