CMM Calibration Field Service Technician

2 Years CMM calibration and/or CMM inspection experience preferred.

Job Description

Calibrating, certifying and repairing coordinate measuring machines (CMM's) at customer facilities. We perform service on all major brand CMMs. Most jobs will be within 2 hours of your home, some will have overnight travel. Approximately 50% travel required. In addition to calibration and repair, technicians perform installations and/or retrofit CMM's with new hardware/software and provide training on equipment application.http://cmmtechnology.com/employment/

Required Skills

Excellent customer service and professionalism

Strong math skills and electrical and mechanical aptitude

Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar 3D part creation software is a plus

Responsibilities

Calibration of various brands of CMMs at customer sites

Service calls to diagnosis, troubleshoot and repair of CMMs

Installation of new hardware and software

Provide technical support to customers and other technicians

Ensure prompt reporting of service to customers and the office

Training

Complete on-the-job training is provided for approximately 2-4 weeks (based on experience), working daily, at full salary, with an experienced CMM Technology technician.

Compensation

Salary $50K+. Company vehicle, paid vacation (10 days) / holidays (7 days) and health insurance (currently Health Net PPO).

All required calibration equipment and supplies including laptop and cell phone provided.
