Manufacturing Technology, Inc. is looking for an experienced logisticsexpert who has an eye for increasing efficiencies and improving ways of work. Our Logistics Manager will bring unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position and will have exceptional organization and observation skills which are heavily influenced by the knowledge and experienced application of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Working collaboratively with the Supply Chain Manager, this position manages and leads all aspects of logistics for our two U.S. facilities which are both located in South Bend, Indiana within two miles of each other, in order to plan, coordinate and execute department budgets, staging, and inventory. Success in the position depends on excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. These skills are paramount to the positions' ability to develop, train and manage a team of direct reports.

The position will also have the opportunity to build relationships with our customers (internal and external) and vendors through the use of proficient written and verbal communication skills.Taking pride in insuring that all daily tasks are thoughtfully and accurately completedwill have an inter-departmental impact that will be valued and appreciated.

Previous experience in logistics inclusive of the use of freight forwarders, knowledge of important codes and forms for international shipping, management of logistics suppliers as well as demonstrated success in implementing Lean principles and practices as it relates to inventory will help drive the necessary changes and improvements.
