Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Elliott Equipment Company was founded in 1970. Today, it is one of the largest refuse and municipal equipment distributors. Our focus is the sale and support of trash/refuse/recycle trucks and equipment and providing industry leading equipment, both new and used.

You will be joining a small team of dedicated experienced professionals. We aim to be the best and are looking for the best in their field to strengthen our team.

Required Qualifications:

Class B CDL license or the ability to obtain

Hydraulic and electrical knowledge / experience

Strong welding skills are a plus

Must have your own general tools

Basic computer knowledge

Diesel repair skills a plus.

Willingness to consistently follow through and promptly follow up with customers

General Responsibilities:

Performing maintenance

Repair all types of municipal type equipment (predominantly refuse equipment).

Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all specialized heavy-duty components. (On the job training will be provided on specialized equipment.)

Coordinating and installing custom equipment on new and used refuse trucks

Evaluate and refurbish used truck trade-ins

Perform DOT inspections

Maintain positive interface with location manager, coworkers, parts department and both internal and external customers.

Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, be authorized to work in the United States, and have a valid Class B CDL or the ability to obtain. All applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Starting Pay: From $20.00 per hour
