Python & PHP Tooling Engineer 20 hours a week

One of the industry leading gaming & entertainment platforms based in San Francisco is hiring a part time Tooling Engineer to work 20 hours a week for 6 months with potential for extension. Very flexible on hours. This person can work 2.5 days a week or 5 days a week, mornings or afternoons. The Tooling Engineer will support a department within the company to design, implement, and maintain documentation production tools that parse and generate documentation formats including Word, PDF, HTML, etc. About a third of the job will be maintaining the existing tool, half will be identifying improvements and creating new tools, and the remainder will be assisting end users. To be successful in this position, the Tooling Engineer will need experience with XML, XSLT, XPath, PHP, and Python. Other languages like C and Perl are helpful. Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience as a Tooling Engineer or equivalent position.
• Strong Python tooling or coding experience.
• Strong PHP tooling or coding experience.
• Previous experience with XML and XSLT

• Previous scripting or coding experience with C or Perl.

• 30% Maintaining existing tools.
• 20% Identifying and implementing improvements to existing tools.
