Description: Product Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, from inception to retirement, of IT products that are delivered to our customers; business associates and consumers. The job family manages the relationship between clients business functions and IT to provide IT product and user experience solutions to meet the needs of the business. Specific Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needs
  • Develops high level business requirements and translates them into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
  • Prepares requirements, specifications, business process and recommendations
  • Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
  • Resolves a wide range of issues in innovative and practical ways
  • Strong knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology
  • Understands basic project management methodology
  • Customer focused with high quality standards
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, business communication and writing skills
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
  • Strong decision making capabilities will result in meeting schedules and/or functional goals of department/unit
  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group IC'S/managers, normally involving matters between department and other functional areas or internal customers
  • Regularly participates in a cooperative effort among members of a project team
  • May receive some instruction on day to day work, but receives general instructions on new assignments and areas of higher complexity
