The NOC Administrator I will work with enterprise application developers and support specialists to provide guidance, application, network, and systems monitoring, as well as operational support of enterprise applications. This position requires an uptime focused, technical person that has a good understanding of Microsoft technologies, and has the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assure all production system changes and application deployments conform to enterprise change control policies and procedures.
- Use of a source code control system and Microsoft AD to manage system configurations.
- Prior hands-on release to production and production configuration responsibilities.
- Documentation and management of system configurations and policy for production systems.
- Monitor all aspects of network, systems and network Infrastructure on a real time basis and keeps internal and external clients apprised of work effort being conducted to resolve their issues. Provide monitoring data to all other cross functional teams and assisting in the interpretation of the data to resolve issues in the environment
- Work 40-50 hours per week any shift depending on coverage needs. This position will work to perform production deployments and changes during off-hours time periods on a scheduled basis.
- Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals. Maintain up-to-date documentation of system design, operation and procedure manuals
- Leverage the use of work-flow ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Communicate to business clients, technical teams and management in a consistent manner making complex technical issues and solutions clear, simple and understandable
- Work closely with other members of Information Technology Department (AppDev, App Support, QA, Data Services, etc.) to assist with project implementations from concept through maintenance, and other tasks as requested
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage or emergency response as needed
- Must be able to work a 2:00pm - 11:00 pm shift
- Computer-related degree or equivalent work experience
- Basic hardware/software knowledge of, but not limited to :
- Windows Server 2008+
- VMware
- Basic understanding of enterprise infrastructure systems
- Working Knowledge of Active Directory
- Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and to take ownership/work with other teams during outages
- Ability to provide on-call support on a rotating basis, reaching out to other teams as necessary
