Floor Estimator-Measurer needed Nights 5-8pm & Weekends

We are an Floor Installation Company working for the BIG BLUE BOX STORES in Massachusetts

We are looking for a Part Time Nights and weekends FLOORING MEASURER - ESTIMATOR Technicians

Preferred experience with ALL flooring types: Carpet, Vinyl (both sheet and plank), Ceramic Tile, Laminate, Hardwood. Should have some general construction knowledge but TRAINING IS PROVIDED.

this is a traveling job - paperwork is done electronically Floor diagrams are done using a software program called Floor Wizard. You will be trained on how to use it. We have found that usually people pick it up after a few days to a week of practice measuring rooms for installation. Training is provided.

The Measurer Estimator will:

Obtain accurate and complete measurements for various types of flooring by traveling to residential homes

Estimate and calculate all materials needed for FLOORING installation using a Tablet and a specific industry software program (we will provide tablet and train you on using the software -FloorWizard and what to look for : like what to take pictures of, evaluate existing conditions, etc)

Know how to use computer and internet to fill out to submit detail estimates.

Estimator is responsible for developing estimates and understanding scope of work required to install flooring.

We provide the jobs and work the appointment schedule.

You go to site and take measurements and submit thru program on tablet.

Must be available during evening appointment times which are: Monday thru Saturday 5 pm - 8 pm .

If looking for a full week of work, We also have appointments scheduled for afternoon 1-5pm to fill up your time.

You, as an Independent Contractor, will provide us with dates available to work along with a count of how much you can do in a certain time frame.

We will assign you work.

This is position is good for an installer who may want to get out of installing and into something less physically demanding. You will Be able to use your knowledge of Flooring to make a living.
