Research Associate, Protein Engineering to support our Pharmaceutical Client in South San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will contribute to the engineering, design, and characterization of protein therapeutics and will work on the cutting edge of research on new molecular formats. Title: Research Associate, Protein Engineering Pay Rate: Competitive, depends on experience Location: South San Francisco, CA Type: Direct Hire Responsibilities:- Work with project teams (internal and partnered) to design and optimize Probody therapeutic candidates derived from antibodies, bi-specific proteins, and cytokines
- Screen antibody libraries using phage-display technology
- Discover masking peptides using bacterial display technology and FACS
- Organize data and communicate results in internal scientific meetings
- B.S. and four-years industry experience or M.S. with two-years industry experience
- Hands-on experience and knowledge in general molecular biology and recombinant DNA technology, including DNA cloning, PCR, and plasmid construction
- Experience with ELISA, colorimetric assays, or FACS is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with phage-display is highly desirable
