VSolvit LLC is seeking to add a project support team member in the creation of a new Project Coordinator role. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the performance of a significant technical, non-technical, and / or intelligence related programs or multiple smaller non-technical programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Covering customers Naval Facilities Engineering projects. The Program Coordinator will provide administrative and technical support to the Project Managers.The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing reports, providing status updates, project team activity coordination, reviewing contract documents and assisting with compliance/financial tracking. The Project Coordinator will track timelines, deadlines for various deliverables, and assist in managing team resources as needed. Responsibilities include: assisting with program controls, costing, and monitoring for various projects. You will also assist in the preparation for Individual Project Reviews (IPRs) in which the status details and information related to the health of a program are discussed.The Project Coordinator will work with a VSolvit clients and internal staff that spans development, management and project management. Most of the work will be related to the tracking of details and activities related to active programs, DoD contracts and ensuring that work is tracked and accounted for.The role will require the highest degree of diplomacy, courtesy and positive communication to both our valued clients, internal operations and others. Strong attention to details and proactive mindset will be key qualities for success in this role. Excellent communications skills both verbal and written are expected for the Project Coordinator.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage software development projects that support our US Navy customers
  • Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities
  • Communicates job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans
  • Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service demands
  • Resolves problems, identifies trends, determines system improvements and implements change
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, sharing professional publications, maintaining professional networks and professional organizations
  • Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.
  • Clearly documents and presents findings including creation of diagrams and procedure documentation
  • Responsible for driving recommendations through to implementation

Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ administrative experience
  • 2+ years’ project or program coordination experience
  • 4+ years’ Microsoft Office Experience
  • 2+ years’ providing project or status updates as part of regular work duties

Preferred Requirements:
  • Military, or government experience is highly desired
  • 3+ years as a project coordinator tracking activity across multiple projects
  • Strong MS Office skills utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Google Apps (Sheets, Drive, Mail and Calendar) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Mission and goal focused mindset
  • Candidate must possess a “Get it done” attitude and the initiative to problem solve

Additional Requirements:
  • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance will be a condition of employment
  • There will be no relocation provided for this role.
