Software Engineer

Location: Oakland, CA

Starts with Remote

Duration: 6-12 Months

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and five or more years of experience in the job offered or related software development role. Master’s degree is preferred.

Skills:

Experience and/or education must include:

  • C/C on Unix;
  • PL/SQL programming;
  • Unix shell scripting.
  • Java 2.0 (SOAP, JSP, Python, Spring Boot)
    • Ability to analyze, design, and create modules and functions using C on Unix OS
    • Ability to maintain existing product to support business needs.
    • Ability to develop and test C/C applications and perform code troubleshooting/debugging using gdb/wdb
    • Ability to troubleshoot production issues, debug simple to complex C/Unix code and provide resolution based on analysis.
    • Maintain java code on Spring Boot and execute new features through business requirements.
    • Experience in developing simple to moderately complex PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages in an Oracle or SQL server database.
    • Preferred to understand ProC/Embedded C and SQL code.
    • Preferred Healthcare domain knowledge
    • Preferred knowledge on Rules Engine as it aligns to Claims Processing.
    • Self-starter, quick learner.
    • Strong knowledge of system development principles, procedures and formal SDLC methodologies required.
    • Detail oriented and problem-solving capabilities
    • Knowledge and application of English grammar, composition, editing and proofreading skills.
    • Strong organizational/time management and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities
