- As a computational biologist in the Structural Biology department of the Research department, you will work with scientists and software engineers to develop and improve the next generation of computational structural analysis methods and tools.
- You will lead the development of scientific databases and scalable data processing pipelines and APIs to enable programmatic and visual data analysis.
- You will provide pragmatic computational expertise in collaboration with scientists and other engineers to facilitate deep exploration of multidimensional molecular data.
- Your infrastructure and tools will enable our scientists, across a range of computational expertise, to explore molecular data to discover drug targets that ultimately deliver life saving therapies to our patients.
- You should be passionate about sustainable programming practices, have a flexible and learning mindset, be able to work in a fluid and dynamic environment, be comfortable leading globally distributed development teams and have a strong desire to pursue creative solutions to challenging problems.
- M.S or PhD in bioinformatics or a related discipline is preferred, but candidates with a B.S. degree in biological or computational science with 5 years practical experience will be considered equivalently.
- A background in computational chemistry or computational structural biology would be a significant advantage
