POSITION SUMMARY The Applications Analyst is responsible for coordinating all issues that arise for their application areas and must be very knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations. The Applications Analyst is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing and supporting Epic build for the delivery of patient care and other supporting functions of the organization. Acts as the primary support contact for the application's end-users; Identifies issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams and working to resolve them; Guides workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software; Identifies and implementing requested changes to the system; Serves as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and Epic implementation staff; Maintains regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in team meetings; Works with Epic representatives, the organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs with respect to the project deliverables and timeline; Develops an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows by attending site visits, validation sessions, and other integrated sessions; Participates in training and working with end users; Troubleshoots problems and questions; Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership; Holds weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones; Maintains service level agreements in the management of IT Service Management incident and request tickets, including ample notes and documentation within tickets; Clinical Care - Ensures that quality patient care is delivered to all patients on a 24-hour basis, and the unit is maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and the philosophy and goals of CPH. This role works in concert with and complimentary to the Clinical Informaticist (CI) role and while some skills overlap, the CI is more focused on the users with the Application Analyst more focused on the system. In partnership with the CI the Application Analyst works to make sure the needs of the organization, the system and the users are met in best practical alignment. Position may require local travel between various locations. Position requires participation in a 24/7 department. Position may require participating in meetings outside of normal business hours and/or alternate shifts including occasional evenings and/or weekends. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED and Technical, computer oriented trade school; three years relevant work experience with Epic EHR software; Epic Ambulatory Certification. If not currently Epic certified, position requires the ability to complete such within 6 months of hire as demonstrated by past experience with Epic use, build and support processes.Bachelor's degree and five years experience with Epic EHR software preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of ambulatory clinic operations.
  • Knowledge of inpatient workflow.
  • Skill with Epic Ambulatory and/or inpatient build and support.
  • Preferred: Full life cycle Epic project experience including significant post go-live maintenance and support cycles.
