BI and Data Integration Developer

is accountable for all the Data Integration between applications, Data warehouse and business intelligence development, testing and support as part of the strategic and tactical expansions of the global data warehouse and ERP in support of cross-functional business initiatives. This position provides technical leadership within the technical team to lead the development team onsite and offshore.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Visualization and reporting using SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Responsible for Technical design of Data Modelling for SAC Analytics.
  • Responsible for migrating all BI reports from OBIEE/Tableau reporting into SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Responsible for designing, building and testing business application to application data transfer / integration process using SAP BW.
  • Meet with business users and gather business requirements.
  • Responsible for Data validation, process tuning and automation of reports.
  • Responsible for design, develop and Test Data warehouse ETL processes in SAP BW.
  • Responsible for Creating detailed ETL specifications for the development team in offshore.
  • Responsible for activating out of the box SAP BW Data flows, info providers and standard queries.
  • Responsible for design, develop and Test custom SAP BW objects to meet business requirements.
  • Responsible for working with offsite and offshore team members and manage their deliverables.
  • Provide help in resolving issues identified by the business users.
  • Support the Business Process and Solution Architecture design sessions.
  • Participate with development teams to design / build / test analytics solution.
  • Perform initial setup, prototype, configuration, and perform testing accordingly to support the design sessions and to fulfill the customer’s business requirements.
  • Design and build SAC planning, forecasting and budget models and related reports & dashboards to support the business key KPIs.
  • Involved in build, test and deploy activities across landscape.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to work as a visualization expert to implement the best visualization stories for customer’s business KPI’s.
  • Well versed in visualizations and their usage charts, tables, maps, filters, dropdown menus, hiding functions, interactive objects.
  • Experience in creating story canvas, responsive, grid, Smart Discovery, advanced story designing blending data, formulas, cross calculations, input controls, linked analysis.
  • Extensive experience in data modeling and preparing datasets, merging, appending, custom hierarchies, custom calculations, groupings, formatting values, data wrangling, dimensions, and Measures.
  • Experience in designing and implementing info models using Attribute Views, Analytic Views, Calculation Views Restricted and Calculated Measures, Input Parameters, Variables, Stored Procedures, CE Functions and SQL script.
  • Experience in SAC predictive capabilities, augmented analytics, Smart Assist, Smart Predict & Analysis for Office.
  • Experience with advanced analytics such as AI and machine learning is a bonus.
  • Experience on creating Dashboards on several SAP (BW & BPC) as well as Non-SAP systems (Flat Files, other non-SAP Data sources).
  • Excellent knowledge in configuration of live data and import data connections and data acquisition SAP BW, SAP BPC & 3rd party applications and OData Services
  • Extensive experience working with SAP BI Offerings that includes creation and enhancements of data flows in BW, performing complex analysis and configuration of the BW data environment to facilitate custom reporting and data analytics solutions for business.
  • Strong experience in design, development, troubleshooting and unit testing of backend components: ADSO, InfoObjects, Composite Providers, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transformations, User exits, Transfer/Update Rules, Multiproviders and Process Chains.
  • Must have strong experience on BEx toolset (Analyzer, Query Designer).
  • Must have good working experience on CDS Views, AMDP, Calculation Views, oData Services, and ABAP Proxies.
  • Experience in configuring security and performing administration tasks such as defining users and teams and assigning roles and privileges are a plus.
  • Good understanding of processes in OTC, Supply chain, Warehouse Management and Finance modules.
  • Able to create functional or technical requirements.
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM models & Integration will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as OBIEE, Tableau and Microsoft BI (SSRS) is good to have.
  • Experience with S4 HANA analytics is good to have.
  • Ability to effectively articulate and present complex concepts and ideas to senior IT management, functional and business teams.
  • Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently and deliver quality results within standards to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of IT experience in Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence.
  • Minimum of 1 years of hand-on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hand-on experience in SAP BW (Business Warehouse).
