Position: Project Manager Information Security,

Location: Torrance, CA

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:Tracks costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met- Serves as a resource to project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes- Provides administrative support to project managers and project leaders- Ensures project control systems are in place and integrates project data for decision makers- Coordinates and works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude major projects.Academic/Experience/CompetencyBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.- Strong ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the organization as a whole- Strong understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets- Strong ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage and quality- Strong knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified- Strong understanding of multiple project management disciplines Business Experience3 to 5 years of IT work experience2 to 3 years managing projectsTasks to be completed on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis, project assigned• Hands-on project manager for information security projects• Documentation of key deliverables including project plans, presentations, requirements, communication plans, budgets, training, policies, meeting minutes, and other documents.• Handles project and tactical communications with team members and other stakeholders. Knowledge, skills, abilities, traits, certifications, years of experience, to successfully perform job function• Proven ability to work with and across all levels of the organizations and navigate organizational boundaries• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with strong written, oral, and presentation skills; both delivery and creation of presentations (must be able to distill complex topics into simple concepts)• Ability to effectively communicate with various audiences and develop and maintain strong peer/client/customer relationships underpinned by a service oriented approach to work• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, with strong time-management, tasks and projects prioritization skills• High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity• High degree of initiative, attention to detail, follow-up skills, deliver on commitments, dependability and ability to work with little supervision• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and capability to drive process improvements• Ability to effectively communicate with various audiences and develop and maintain strong peer/client/customer relationships underpinned by a service oriented approach to work• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and capability to drive process improvements• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint; and SharePoint administration.
