QA Test Analyst III

Role: QA Test Analyst IIILocation: 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA - 94025Duration: Ongoing projectJOB DESCRIPTION:Q Analysts is looking for a Sr. Test Analyst for a project with one of its Clients who is a leader in the Smart Home and Social Media space. The qualified candidate will come experienced in NPI product development, having worked directly with product requirements, risk management, and long-term strategies for assuring quality. You will be responsible for building and executing a quality strategy and plans across multiple consumer products and platforms. You will also debug issues across the hardware and software stack including consumer electronics devices, mobile apps, and web. You will have intimate knowledge of current issues, build heat maps and bug burn-downs, along with track and report detailed metrics to key stakeholders which would lead to go/no-go decisions per milestone. The ideal candidate is a quality assurance leadership expert and a detail-oriented QA engineer who has strong communication skills. The candidate should also have a passion for building great hardware and software products and consumer electronics device experience.Areas of Responsibilities• Build a test-driven engineering and development culture that drives improvements in quality.• Create strategies, plans, and test cases for new and existing features across multiple product lines within NPI Product Development.• Lead the work of manual testers and contract workers.• Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple product lines.• Debug issues, report defects and propose regression tests.• Identify, test, track, and report KPI trends over the course of the projects.• Work along-side hardware and software engineers, program managers and QA to triage issues and help the engineering teams make informed go/no-go decisions.• Partner with Automation and Infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalability and reliability.Required Qualifications:• Proven experience architecting test plans, and quality solutions for NPI products.• Leading QA Engineers and outsourcing QA services for task delegation and timely delivery.• Performed QA activities for consumer electronics devices.• Fulfil quality planning and risk management deliverables with feedback from cross-functional teams.• Knowledge of debugging OS and applications on consumer electronics devices.• Deep experience building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software.• Handle project reporting to engineering stakeholders.• Coding familiarity in Python, PHP, Java, C/C, or equivalent language.• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications• Non-functional and Performance testing on NPI products.• Peripheral and Input method testing experience (remotes, batteries, audio, sensors, IMUs)
