We are looking to hire a prep and line cook to assist our kitchen manager in completing prep work and expediting the griddle. Applicants should be able to work independently, learn quickly, and stay organized.
The prep cook/line cook position also involves:
- preparing sandwiches on our housemade bagels and breads
- working with a griddle cooktop, cooking eggs, meat, and other sandwich ingredients
- prepping sauces, meats, spreads, and other housemade ingredients
- assisting in opening and closing procedures (cleaning the griddle, sweeping, mopping, restocking ingredients, running dishes through dishwasher, putting away equipment, general cleaning of equipment)
- checking prep list and making a list for following day's prep work
- possessing full competency of our menu in order to communicate with front of house staff about ingredients
- bringing an excellent attitude and work ethic to the team!
Our team works hard and cranks on the weekends, but we have a lot of fun and always support each other. It can be a high stress job (on weekends, 20 to 30 tickets at a time) so applicants should be able to work in a high paced environment.
Weekends are required and hours are early, anywhere from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday
A two hour working interview will be required after an in-person interview.
