BEACHCOMBERS TIKI HUT seeks experienced BREAKFAST COOK

Our restaurant and Hotel Ramada Plaza Oceanfront are looking for an experienced Breakfast Cook to join our busy morning team. In this position, you will review the pre-set menu so that you understand the offerings, utilize a variety of cooking techniques, plate the food and hand it over to a waiter. You must follow all instructions from Food and Beverage Management to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and that customers are satisfied with their order. Our perfect candidate has significant food production and culinary experience. While a culinary arts degree is not essential, formal training is a plus.

Duties:

prep ingredients for the day

accept orders from the wait staff

prepare dishes in a timely manner

maintain a clean and sanitary work area

keep track of inventory

submit production needs for following day by shift end

make management aware of guest feedback

report to work in a neatly groomed manner as outlined in the employee handbook

report to shift on time

comply with all policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage Department

complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments if necessary

knowledge of safe and sanitary work conditions and proper food storage.

Responsibilities and Qualifications :

high school diploma or GED certificate

culinary arts degree (preferred)

cooking and food preparation experience

strong communication and time management skills

Working conditions:

works as part of a team

working holidays and weekends

overtime may be required in high season

kitchen environment is one that can be hot or cold, floors can be slippery

ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull and carry other items

reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing.

occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, tasting and smelling.
