Position Overview:

Responsible for financial business partnering activities in support of the school operations and services organizations in the Online & Blended Learning business. This role is responsible for acting as a Business Partner driving strategy, planning and overall financial performance. This position will partner with school business leaders to optimize performance, support planning processes and understand the current dynamics in relevant parts of the cost portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with business owners to identify bottlenecks to progress, potential solutions, provide advice and escalate as needed to ensure goals are achieved.

  • Support planning processes, including setting targets, communicating assumptions, coordinating budget preparation, challenging submissions and seeking synergies upon consolidation.

  • Monitor the financial progress against strategic goals for the Partner School and School Service organization.

  • Establish relationships and meet with business partners on their financial results. Provide training and guidance to help them better understand and take ownership of their financial results.

  • Provide reasoned advice on modelling, planning and forecasting with reference to cost, time and quality which incorporate the organization strategic direction.

  • Provide analysis to support decision-making, including presenting economic outcomes, identifying the key value drivers, benefits, sensitivities and risks, accounting and fiscal implications.

  • Prepare and analyze problems using sensitivity analysis and other techniques; reviews variance analyses and account reconciliations, and identifies significant items requiring the attention of higher-level management.

  • Work with operational team members to understand variances, identify financial risks and opportunities, and escalate them to management as appropriate.

  • Oversee process for reporting monthly financial data to internal stakeholders

  • Support the development and maintenance of school staffing model to support school staffing decisions

  • Partner with internal school support resources to support them with understanding school financial results, highlighting risks/opportunities, and strategizing for best financial outcomes.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Experience with Predictive Modeling

Experience with Financial Modeling

Experience with Data Visualization

Experience Using Tableau

Experience working in a multi-national matrix organization

Strong understanding of materiality and ability to prioritize across competing agendas

Ability to identify business risks and implementation of tactics to mitigate

Understanding of financial control, business performance management and process optimization and experience of working in more than one of these areas

An understanding of putting internal financial results into an external market context

Awareness of multiple business models and experience of working with more than one

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $85K – $90K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
