Staff Accountant- Fixed Assets/Credit Specialist

Job Description

• Ensure accurate recording of transactions in accounting systems, including general ledger journal entries for accounts payable and fixed asset.
• Performs period account reconciliations and analysis of the fixed asset and accounts payable accounts
• Prepares periodic reports and related analysis for internal and external customers and external financial audits
• Performs research for inventory and audit questions.
• Prepares reports for the Tax Department
• Scanning of accounting documentation
• Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Creates and maintains procedure documentation
• Performs other special projects or tasks as assigned
• Process customer credit requests
• Compile accurate credit scoring and company data
• Prepare various Credit related reports
• Obtain, track and reconcile customer financial statements
• Interact with branch offices regarding credit requests, past due receivables, and related issues
• Respond to branch questions/requests for information
• Research company information as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 2 years experience in Accounting.
• Experience with MS Office programs, particularly Excel, and fundamental understanding of accounting systems.
• Ability to work with a high degree of detail and able manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
• ·Effective verbal and written communication skills
