Job DetailsResponsibilities:Schematic design: Analog circuits (current/temperature and other signal sensing and OPAMPs), digital circuits, and isolated and non-isolated power supplies, power / ground plans and so onPerform design simulations to ensure optimum operation of the design.Analyze and assist in product prototyping, testing and troubleshooting and monitoring the product for internal/external studies using Lab test equipment and/or test software.Develop, document and revise system test procedures, and quality control standards.Organize the assembly and perform debug tests on all levels of the board design from topology to production of products.Evaluate and select components such as a variety of sensors, MCUs, Communication protocols and circuits.Create and verify component footprint, design, assemble, document and test PCBs with respect to layout, electrical and mechanical constraints, manufacturability, and relative costs of various alternatives.Generate and maintain Gerber and BOMs and fabrication documentation to support on-site production.Coordinate device form factor with other team members such as mechanical engineers and purchase designers.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (Required) or master's degree (Preferred) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.• 2 or more years of experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and benchtop bring-up of new boards.• Familiarity with high voltage circuit board creepage and clearance requirements, with voltages up to 1200V.• Extensive experience with Altium net classes, high voltage rules, variants, and rooms• Proficiency with Altium Designer PCB layout tools and schematic capture.• Proficiency with PC trace widths and copper weights needed when considering current and temperature of operation of the PCB.• Proficiency in the design of PCB using fine pitch and ball grid array integrated circuits and large through hole parts.• A good understanding of the PCB layout process and IPC Standards.• Familiarity with taking PCB layout through to completion of board files, generation of BOMs, and upload to PLM.• Familiar with layout practices to mitigate EMC/EMI issues, EMC test/certification standards.• Strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving abilities, good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.Bonus QualificationsExperience with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) and EV charging Standards.Experience with AEC-Q standards.Familiarity with similar tools to Altium, like Cadence or Pulsonix PCB design tools.Familiarity with mechanical design tools, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD.Interested in hearing more?
