- The department of Structural Biology is seeking a data scientist with experience in developing, deploying, maintaining and applying machine learning techniques in the context of large and small molecule drug discovery.
- We are looking for an engineer with a scientific passion who will help researchers maximize the effectiveness of their data.

- Identify and evaluate current and new ML/DL techniques and algorithms.
- Develop and execute ML/DL approaches to support or advance scientific and technological questions
- Drive the application and development of best practices for application/algorithm development and data analysis Summary of Qualifications:
- Education: You'll have a MS or Ph.D. in bio/cheminformatics, biostatistics, computational biology/chemistry or equivalent
- You have at least five years of experience in a data-intensive industry (biotech or pharma preferred)
- You have demonstrated ability to apply machine learning and deep learning techniques in computational biology or chemistry
- You have successfully developed ML/Computational chemistry/biology applications in Python
- You have a good understanding of standard chem/bioinformatics tools in the context of small molecule, protein sequence or structures
- You are comfortable with relational database concepts and the SQL language (and maybe you've ventured a bit into NoSQL databases). You efficiently work in a nix environment
- You are highly organized, you pay attention to detail, and are committed to principles of reproducible research.
- You like to work independently and solve problems, but are happy interacting with others as part of one or more teams
