Systems Analyst / Architect - API

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in search of a Systems Analyst/Architect-API in Santa Monica, CA.Summary:In this role you will be responsible for defining, documenting and validating roadmaps and requirements for APIs and backend systems. This role requires experience and comfort as a software engineer as well as some experience and passion for translating product and technical needs into defined requirements that engineers can execute from. This role will require excellent communication and negotiation skills, as a large part of the work will be staying in close communication with both the Product team and other Engineering teams to understand their needs as it relates to APIs and backend systems.Duties: AWS Architect and can write Jira tickets Make sure Jira is properly groomed and stay on top of all the tickets they have Document API structure and get requirements from Product Would support BOD Group and Core TrackingREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business, or equivalent 5+ years of strong experience in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions at scale Engineer that has been in solutions engineer role before Not looking for Scrum Masters, need Engineering BG Comfortable working knowledge of APIs and backend systems Comfortable understanding of common AWS services Experience and comfort with identifying and documenting technical requirements that development teams can use to execute work Experience with Jira or similar ALM tools to document requirements and create stories/tasks Positive can-do attitude while collaborating with other teams and business stakeholders Must be detail oriented, self-organized Excellent verbal, non-verbal, inter-personal, and written communication skills across all levels within and outside the company Business-driven mentality; The ideal candidate understands business context and priorities and can help the team to think through requirements that might not be explicitly called out by stakeholders and the product team Experience designing and negotiating technical contracts and designs that spans across teams Experience developing and deploying backend solutions Experience using API-related tools such as Postman or Curl Experience writing /tuning complex SQL database queries is a plus Experience in producing/consuming REST API's using any programming language Excellent troubleshooting skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Decisive; Has the ability to make choices, take responsibility, and follow throughKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
