Systems/Software Developer

Description SAIC is looking for a Systems/Software Developer in support of the development of tactical communications software applications. The ideal candidate will be intrinsically motivated to provide innovative and elegant solutions to challenging problems and thrive in a dynamic developmental environment. This position is contingent based on award and will be located in San Diego, CA. Tasking will include but is not limited to the following:

• Develop and/or support the development of tactical chat applications using Python and Javascript languages.
• Leading and participating in daily scrums as part of an Agile software development team.
• Development of secure coding standards and secure design features.
• Collaboration with project leads to identify objectives and optimal execution plans
• Development of system documentation including source code, user manuals, and test results.

• Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five (5) years experience. Additional four (4) years experience in lieu of degree.
• At least 3 years of experience developing software in Python
• At least 1 year of experience developing software in Javascript using the React library and programming sockets
• At least 3 years of experience with Agile software development practices such as participating in weekly sprints and daily scrums
• At least 1 year of experience using software assurance tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, or similar
• Minimum of 1 year of experience installing and configuring web servers such as Apache, Nginx, or similar
• At least 1 year of experience writing and editing technical publications

• Must have an interim Secret to start work and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
