Title: Content Operations - Content Strategist IVStart/End Dates: 4/5/2021 - 10/4/2021Location: Menlo Park, CADescriptions:A full-time content design contractor is needed to support Client music experience within the Entertainment vertical. Music is one of Client newest Entertainment verticals and one the team is looking to grow to meet the demands of both listeners and the music industry. A key focus area for 2021 is enhancing the overall music video experience in order to drive retention and build user habit for music video and streaming content on Client . This will be the purview of this contractor. There are several ways people on Client may wish to engage with music content and we need to ensure that we successfully meet these needs with experiences that are intuitively understood, differentiated and geared towards making Client the #1 destination to discover and connect over music.Specifically, these projects will focus on:Elevating Client music home destinationCrafting and executing a music habit strategyShaping the product direction for music video player and chaining experienceOptimizing music video playlists executionsMusic content sharingThe content design contractor will be embedded with the product team and will be responsible for collaborating with several cross-functional partners to ensure a consistently rewarding user experience.Ideal CandidatePrevious work as a content designer, content strategist or UX writer; experience on growth and retention projects a plusExpert copywriting skills, with experience writing in-product content and promotionsExperience working with product designers, UX researchers, engineers, and product managersKnowledge of internationalization/localization processesKnowledge of user-testing methodologies, a plusKnowledge or experience working on music products, a plusDurationThis project will last through September 2021 with possible extension, depending on the success of the products and needs of the team.Team Description:•The Music & Audio team is a part of Client Entertainment vertical. Their mission is bring people together through music and audio content experiences, which ladders up to Client priorities of connecting people through communities and interests, and providing diverse pathways for expression and interaction.•Music and Audio are both 0 to 1 spaces for Client requiring solid XFN investment to drive continued growth and product market fit on the recently launched premium music video (PMV) experience, execute ongoing music streaming experiments, and build the MVP strategies and execution plans for Client net new audio entertainment destination.•This contractor role is being hired to support continued growth on the Music side of the experience so that our FTE CD can lean in 100% to provide support needed to build out the Audio experience.Description/Scope:•Partner with cross functional (XFN) partners as needed to craft the content design for product experiences. XFN includes product designers, UX researchers, product managers, engineers, product marketing managers, etc.•Lead and/or provide input on product experience strategy docs.•Participate in XFN meetings as needed for the workstreams supported.•Participate in content and product design "crit" and "flash" sessions to get and give feedback on UX design work.QUALIFICATIONS:Combination of in-product UX writing and content design strategy experience (web or mobile)•Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product teams•Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and self-led initiative•Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline•Mobile app UX writing experience preferredWhat is driving the need for this resource?The Music and Audio team''s scope has grown to include the Audio experience which means all XFN teams across the board are staffing up to meet the additional work generated by this new mandate.What is the interaction level this CW will have with the team/manager/additional parties?CW will have weekly 1:1 check-ins with manager and daily meetings with XFN partners.Top 3-5 absolutely Non-Negotiable HARD Skills/Experience:Combination of in-product UX writing and content design strategy experience (web or mobile)Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product teamsDemonstrated collaborative skills and success working on XFN teamsDemonstrated entrepreneurial drive and self-led initiativeTop Preferred/Like to Have Skills:Mobile app UX writing experience preferredKnowledge of user-testing methodologies, a plusKnowledge or experience working on music products, a plusEducation Requirements: is a degree absolutely required?Yes, minimum of undergraduate degreeYears of Experience Required & in/with what?At least 3 years in-product UX writing experienceHow will the performance be measured?:Quality and timeliness of content design approach and deliverablesQuality of collaboration with XFN partners Ability to self-direct and prioritize for highest impact work once onboarded to the team Team culture and product impactWhy should candidates be interested in this role?
