Your New Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Cost/Schedule Analyst to support a multi-year Defence program to deliver an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System. This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF.

As theSenior

Cost/Schedule Analyst you will havestrong Earned Value Management (EVM) and scheduling capabilities to support a significant Defence Contract within a highly technical environment. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of the schedule best practices and Earned Value Management (EVM) processes.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with the technical and commercial team to ensure all project dependencies, scope of work and constraints are captured and analysed to ensue integrity of the baselined data. You will have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage risks that may cause schedule delays and ensure minimal schedule impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish an Agile EVM system & reporting framework
  • Manage and control the Contract Master Schedule (CMS and Performance Measurement baselines and track all variances to the approved baselines;
  • Maintain the Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS);
  • Solicit inputs from the product leads and the technical team to ensure all project inter-dependencies, relationships, scope of work, risks, constraints and milestones are captured and analysed against the baselined CMS;
  • Proactively identify areas of concern within the schedule and implement mitigation strategies to meet project objectives;
  • Analyse project status data and provide input to support management meetings and Earned Value Management (EVM) month end reporting;
  • Conduct Microsoft Project schedule and Cobra EVMS integration;
  • Generate cost and schedule performance metrics, analyse variance reports and status reports;
  • Work with Program Management and team leads to plan and manage program resource requirements and forecasting;
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments, critical path assessments and schedule health checks;
  • Participate in risk management workshops and customer meetings (where required);
  • Facilitate and manage Contract Change Proposals and execute cost and schedule baseline change management processes;
  • Work with the Project Manager and Functional leads to refine the scope of work and identify areas of risk;
  • Identify critical milestones, project dependencies, constraints and resource constraints.

Qualifications

About you and what you’ll bring

An experienced Cost/Schedule Analyst, you have the ability toengage, influence and collaborate with a complex set of stakeholders. A background in defence-related, large, complex projects is essential. You bring working knowledge of other related disciplines including forecasting and cost estimation and expertise in MS Project and Cobra.You are highly results driven and enjoy being anessential elementof high quality project execution. Knowledge and practical application of Agile EVM in a Defence environment will be highly regarded.
