Job Req #: 21-03187Job Description: Data Analyst III (Healthcare)Location: REMOTEPosition Type: Permanent/Direct Hire Our Client has an open position for a Business Analyst on the Data Governance team. The position will report to the Director, Data Governance and be responsible for working to establish and support master data-as-a-service. This is an opportunity to bring about data driven transformation to drive execution of enterprise-wide management and governance of data assets, enabling business while minimizing privacy, security, operational and reputational risks associated with data.Position Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral

  • Design, develop and maintain metrics, reports, data mining, analysis, dashboards that drive meaningful and prompt actionable insights
  • Develop control structures within the environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels
  • Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes
  • Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT
  • Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries and provide reports
  • Participate in projects to establish master data-as-a-service
  • Obtain an expert level of data flow
  • Assist with root cause analysis for data integrity issues
  • Able to work with physicians and various levels of support staff
  • Create, maintain and improve data governance processes and documentation including SOP's
  • Assist in analyzing and auditing data flow - making recommendations for quality improvement
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to track and manage multiple work efforts concurrently
  • Ability to effectively align work with stakeholder priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with Project Managers to develop projects plans including deliverables and due dates
DESIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 2+ years data quality or similar level data analysis experience required
  • 5+ years combined IT and healthcare experience; Healthcare experience is required
  • Acumen for Analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills for performing pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools are a plus, but not required (SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of data flow between EHR / EMR and PACS, voice recognition applications, etc.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Ability to write various documents such as functional requirements
  • Ability to compare technologies and make recommendations to senior members of the team
  • Understanding of privacy laws and regulations
  • Basic level proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Foster practice success through a professional demeanor, service demeanor
  • Knowledge of HIPAA data privacy practices and laws a plus
  • Proficient in Business Analyst skills:
    • Interaction with all levels of the business
    • Creation of Issue statements, project objectives
    • Documentation of data flows
    • Gathering and documenting requirements
    • Crafting and implementing solutions
