3Ci is recruiting a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer for our rapidly growing client in Atlanta, GA. As the Senior DevOps Automation Engineer, you will assist in the establishment and rollout of a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery automation framework across multiple tools.

This is a contract opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or closely related field) with at least 5+ years of relevant IT experience
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience in Agile Methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Lean/Scaled, etc) and processes
  • Extensive experience with Configuration Mgt/Deployment tools such as SCCM / TFS / Puppet / Chef / Ansible / Salt
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work great in a team environment and also as an individual contributor on solo efforts with minimal supervision
  • Must have recent hands-on expertise in manual certification & delivery of applications to business units on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux/Unix, Mainframe, Citrix) using Window's InstallShield, MSI packaging utilities/tools, SCCM, VBScript, KeyPass/other password utilities & tools, etc.
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience in the area of application (vendor & internal apps) delivery then transformation to deployment automation
  • Proven ability to follow priorities and timelines
  • Track record & passion for bringing high-quality automation, including continuous deployments, automated service failover, etc. into a team
  • Strong knowledge of applying agile methodologies in an enterprise, Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile
  • Knowledge of good coding practices and improving code quality
  • Agile qualifications SCM/PO/Coach
  • Experience with AWS (Cloudformation, Route53, EMR, EC2, Auto Scaling, Spot Instances, Red Shift, Aurora Database, S3, building AMI, IAM, etc.)
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Awareness of software security protocols, such as ISO27001, NIST, and familiarity with the implementation of security best practices
    • AWS or Azure Certified preferred not mandatory
    • Knowledge of Docker, managing microservice pools, service discovery
    • Plan system capacity and maintenance
    • Cultivate and maintain a team and culture of high availability and responsiveness to address operational issues and emergent needs 24x7
    • Experience in Infrastructure, Networks, and private and public cloud hosting departments
    • Python, ShellScript - Big Data
    • Implementation of ITIL, COBIT 5 and ISO/IEC 20000 in an enterprise with regulatory requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Experience w/transformation to and construction of Continuous Deployment, CI environments, build and release cycles from a manual delivery model
  • Develop a new automation framework to utilize and define/refine existing build and deploy processes
  • Contribute toward development/testing of common services to support CI/CD
  • Be a collaborative highly-experienced team player with strong communication and planning skills
  • Assist development teams across the organization to implement their CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong Automation, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow through to completion
  • Create robust release management processes using Powershell and other automation scripting technologies
  • Assume ownership of automation processes; problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate/Cooperate with Enterprise and Architects on DevOps tool chain decisions
  • Explain and persuade DevOps' culture, automation, lean, measurement, and sharing changes throughout internal teams and with business partners
  • Provide Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery solutions using tools such as TFS, Stash/Git, Cloudbees Jenkins or Open Source Jenkins, Hudson, Artifactory, Selenium, MicroFocus LeanFT, Nagios, Docker
  • Follow engineering best practices, participate in new tool evaluations, peer reviews, etc. as necessary
  • Experience with systems administrations and networking technologies
  • Work closely with Development, QA, Product Management, and Operations teams to make sure Product Releases on-time with quality
  • SQL experience with Oracle, MongoDB, etc.
  • Experience in Database Administration
  • Experience of architecting solutions to support and host customer-facing products with a focus on stability, scalability, security, testability, and maintainability
  • Work closely with other team leaders & business partners to ensure their needs are met via SLAs and SLOs in the context of process and project goals and objectives
  • Recommend, assist with, design and develop internal process automation using DevOps tools and technologies
