Kelly Technology has an opening for a Cloud Security Engineer to work with our client in Rocklin, CA; San Jose, CA or Portland, OR SUMMARY Cyber Security team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer with at least 5 years' experience to support our hybrid cloud environments to help us confidently discover the possible and make it actual. DUTIES
- Define and implement secure standards for cloud-based operations. Understand system security vulnerabilities and associated threats and assess the overall security risks to the system and prioritizing fixes.
- Drive forward our existing cloud security stack and security automation stack - including maintenance of existing environment, developing new solutions architectures and implementing them to improve our capabilities.
- Consult and advise our engineering teams to influence secure design, deployment, maintenance of our cloud-based applications and workloads, steering cloud configurations and services towards industry-leading security practices.
- Engineering mindset to develop and troubleshoot issues with an empirical and methodical approach.
- Provide ongoing security oversight of cloud-based operations, to include the security impact of proposed modifications, additions, and technology implementation/refresh operations.
- Evaluate and respond to alerts and events from the security tools, including tuning of tool configuration to minimize false positives. Develop event response documentation and processes, along with appropriate escalation protocol.
- Guide, support, and oversee the overarching security model for all cloud-based infrastructure.
- Respond to calls as needed (24/7).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, and/or comparable level of professional experience is preferred.
- Certification/License: CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Cloud Security preferred
- 4+ years of experience in information security and/or cloud engineering experience.
- Knowledge of attack vectors (malware, web application, social engineering, etc.) and attack surfaces (ports, firewalls, incoming data processing, interfaces, etc.).
- Experience with technologies from at least one public cloud (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
- Demonstrated ability to accurately assess problems and requests from multiple perspectives, analyze approach feasibility, and decide on the efficient course of action.
- Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with business partners to understand their requirements and express ideas concisely and logically.
