This engineer will work closely with mechanical, software, and other cross functional engineers and contribute towards the design of new devices. This is a hands-on position. Engineers are responsible for seeing their projects through from concept design to delivery and support of hardware. Optimizing designs for reliability, performance, and efficiency will be a focus. This role will involve both design of new products and sustaining engineering on existing products.Qualifications: - Strong EE fundamentals, including:
- Minimum 5 years designing and developing power electronics with MS and PhD in power electronics highly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year writing embedded software for control of power electronics
- Experience in control systems
- Experience in sensors and data capture
- Schematic capture and PCB design (Altium and/or Cadence)
- Experience with component selection
- Completed (designed/built/tested) power system designs
- Great communication skills
- S. in electrical engineering or related discipline
- Deep understanding of microprocessors and microcontrollers
- Experience with:
- Algorithm development and state machines
- FPGA programming
- ARM cortex M0, M4 and M7 processors
- Zinq devices
- Medical firmware
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Master’s degree or PhD - preferred
