AWS Solutions Architect - FULL TIME PERM!

This is an AWS Solutions Architect with an international Fortune 500 company. I have been working directly with this client for 5 years.This position has a 145-155K base salary plus excellent benefits and perks.This is a position for a talented and well-rounded person who does not want to be siloed or pigeonholed. This is a very hands on role on the applications side that requires not only strong AWS skills in design, integration, and deployment, but also strong scripting skills in Python in particular. The Architects in this group are hands-on and very close to the technology. If you ONLY expect to do design and workflow tasks, this is not for you. The location is Atlanta. You will eventually need to go on site at some point and even with going on site, there is opportunity to work from home a portion of the time.

• Responsible for architecture and solution design of complex applications built using AI/ ML and optimization techniques to improve operational efficiencies.
• Provide the conceptual, logical and physical architecture, defining best suited technology.
• Design and develop cloud-based services and applications, and lead the implementation of these designs and architecture
• Understand complex business problems and provide various solution options and technical concepts
• Embrace and influence domain driven design and architecture principles of security, scale, uptime and reliability
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to create solution plans including cost estimates and optimized delivery approaches
• Analyze complex functional and non-functional requirements
• Identify, develop, and manage reference architecture and design patterns for digital applications
• Identify issues with the code and understand proof of concepts

• 10+ years’ experience in information technology planning and operations, application design and development, and system life cycle management
• Knowledge of mining complex data (including structure and unstructured), identifying patterns, and feature engineering
• Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
• Proficiency with Python is required!
• Expertise in public cloud technologies (AWS is preferred), cloud and server-less focused solution architecture
• AWS Professional certifications are a plus
• Experienced with deploying and managing infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenStack, and Clouds such as OpenShift, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of data engineering and experience with big data
• Linux and shell scripting expertise
• Proficiency with scalable data extraction tools (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB)
