We are currently seeking Technical Professionals who are searching for challenging and rewarding jobs for the following opportunity:Our Financial client in Newport Beach, CA is looking for a permanent Manual QA Analyst & System Support Specialist. Reporting into the VP of Digital Mortgage Applications, the QA System Support Analyst will join the team to develop, execute and maintain manual test cases that assess software functionality and performance of the company’s Mortgage applications. The Quality Assurance Support Analyst works with the Development Team and Business stakeholders to Test and Document our Enterprise system applications and automation Bots.The successful candidate will review software requirements and specifications to develop manual test cases and an automate testing strategy for a product or release as well as code reusable test functions and components. Additionally, the IT Quality Assurance/Support Analyst will be the first level of Encompass Support and will work with the Enterprise trainer to update and assist them with new system changes.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • 1-2 years Software Testing experience with strong documentation skills
  • Some Mortgage domain experience required with Encompass LOS testing experience as a big plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of QA processes, methodologies and approaches with respect to Software Development Life Cycles, including Waterfall or Agile processes.
  • Ability to read and understand requirement documents, identify gaps and capture one-off use cases
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing
  • Must possess a high level of initiative
  • Ability to think and operate in a logical manner, break down processes and investigate issues by asking the right questions to determine potential solutions
  • Balance multiple, competing priorities effectively, track documentation and deliverables in an organized manner
  • Strong communication skills ans ability to communicate ideas in both technical and non-technical language
  • Ability to work flexible hours and a willingness to work on a on call schedule, if required
  • A results oriented team player who thrives on working in a fast paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analyst field or a combination of related experience and education or industry related experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review software requirements and specifications to develop manual test cases for a product or release.
  • Perform testing activities, including functional, performance, and regression testing as well as Design, develop, and maintain test cases
  • Code reusable test functions or components. Execute manual and automated tests using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
  • Log and track defects, report technical issues to development or product management teams, and verifies fixes. Requires an understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Execute manual and automated tests using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
  • This position plays an integral part to insure delivery of the best applications to grow a Digital Mortgage ecosystem
  • Perform black box and white box testing of custom web applications and reports.
  • Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.
  • Works closely with Development Team, Business Analyst and the User Community.
  • Log defects and track them to resolution along with communicating defects to the Development team
  • Set up test environments with the necessary test data and execute detailed test procedures and test cases for assigned products or product modules
  • Drive towards on-time, quality deliverables in a highly complex and dynamic business environment, while actively managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Assist with investigation, troubleshooting, problem solving and resolving operational application functionality related incidents and providing third level support including root cause analysis, testing and documentation.
  • Will be given the opportunity to learn SQL, SSRS and Power BI to advance career
  • Analyze formal test results to discover, log, and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation.
  • Verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed.
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
