Systems Engineer

Description We are looking for a contract-to-hire Systems Engineer located in West Michigan. This is a hybrid role so some onsite support will be expected in the Holland, MI area. Typical job duties include but are not limited to the following:- Administration, maintenance and support of a Windows environment which provides domain, email, file, print, database and web services.- Establish network/systems specifications by conferring with users and analyzing information needs.- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, maintenance, replacement and optimization for entire network infrastructure.- Provide end-user support for all information technology software and hardware.- Switching, Routing, and Firewall configurations in multi-VLAN environments.- Wireless Network Technology configuration and installation Requirements The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:- 1 plus years' experience with information systems and direct user support required- Microsoft Windows Server, Linux would be a plus.- Virtualization experience with VMWare or Hyper-V.- Microsoft SQL Server- Anti-virAnti-Spam/Network Backup/Network Security.- Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, DNS, File and Print Servers, IIS, Scripting, and Terminal Services, Server, Desktop, and Application Virtualization.- Office365 and Google Apps- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
