Wrangell ALASKA CROSSINGS PROGRAM

Alaska Crossings has an immediate opening for a full time Equipment Coordinator in Wrangell, AK.

Coordinator will manage program’s outdoor gear, equipment and supplies for expeditionary, wilderness program for young adults. Select, distribute, recover, maintain and inspect of all equipment and gear. Manage and supervise Crossings Out-tripping Center (COTC) facility. Responsible for Crossing inventory tracking/repairs. Train the guide staff on gear use.

QUALIFICATIONS

-High School Diploma or equivalent required (completed GED)

-Two years: wilderness tripping experience in Southeast Alaskan environment

-Two years: experience managing/supervising personnel

-Inventory control and tracking experience; outdoor equipment knowledge: uses, types; One year experience inspecting, assessing, repairing outdoor gear and equipment

-Thorough knowledge of outdoor pursuits (camping, flatwater & moving water canoeing and alpine hiking)

-Skilled ability to use hand and power tools
