Growing dental private practice seeking a Full Time Treatment and Insurance Coordinator with training and benefits (health, dental, profit sharing, bonus, sick, vacation/PTO, conferences and continuing education, certification). Treatment and Insurance Coordinator role is to provide patient education and participate more actively with the planning, treatment presentation, and follow-up for patient care. They take a pro-active role in each day’s schedule and patient activities to ensure a smooth flow occurs. Their goals are to educate, stimulate, motivate, and promote patient participation in dental care; which should result in increased case acceptance. The Treatment Coordinator ensures that each patient has an appointment and a solid treatment plan in place. Responsibilities include:

-Chart review and prepare for daily morning huddles

-Identify and communicate schedule concerns or opportunities

-Identify and communicate potential referrals, consults, treatment potential

-Assist in integrating new patient and existing patient exams, insurance, estimates and copays

-Be able to chart, obtain radiographs, obtain extraoral and intraoral photos

-Be able to gather appropriate information educational materials for patients

-Be able to prepare patient and insurance necessary documents

-Assist the dentist in the treatment plan development

-Follow up with the patient after the dentist finishes and leaves the consultation.

-Make initial financial arrangement with the patient, or introduces the patient to the appropriate team member to do so.

-Executes care calls to new patients after they leave the office to answer additional questions the patient may have. -May also call patients after extensive treatment to see how the patient is doing.

-Answer as many clinical questions as possible from the patient – either in the office or on the telephone. They know when to defer questions to the dentist.

-Follows up with unscheduled patients using the designated tickler system and appropriate verbiage

-Treatment and Insurance Coordinator may schedule appointments for those patients they assist.

-Systematically follow-up with patients who do not schedule treatment using Incomplete Treatment Reports
