HVAC Installer Manager

Alaskan AC is looking for a dedicated Installation Manager to join our team in Tucson! We are a local HVAC contractor looking to fill an opening in our install department. Primary Job Function:

To manage the installation operations of the company, including the scheduling and dispatch of the crews. Clear and concise communications with company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead time. Oversee the training and efficiency of company installers. Implementation and enforcement of company's policies and procedures. The overall supervision of the company's installation crew and the profitability of installation jobs

Responsibilities:

Manage the installation and replacement of residential systems according to manufacturer's recommendations, company standards, design and applicable state and local codes.

Work with Operations Manager to ensure that all safety applications are implemented and followed.

Manage the scheduling and dispatch of the install crews, pull sheets, inventory stocking of trucks and troubleshooting support for crews.

Clear and concise communications with internal and external customers as to company schedule and requested lead times.

Update job schedule and layout schedule.

Review new jobs with installers, check paperwork and timecard from previous days job, find out any punch list or uncompleted items.

Review pre-videos prior to installation to identify issues before install.

Review post-videos each morning to identify installation issues, concerns and required follow-up.

Check installer's tools and trucks once a week.

Walk shop and loading area, answer questions, installers gone by scheduled times

Schedule layouts and update layout & design schedules.

Ensure shop fabrications are completed to meet job schedules

Ensure equipment for jobs is purchased and ready for installs

Facilitate special orders, materials etc,

Ensure all layouts are completed based on installation schedule.

Understands budgets and have the ability to drive past department capacity while controlling labor and material costs.

Ensure a clean and orderly condition exists in all working areas including shop, vehicles and job sites.

Check two jobs in progress each day for quality & on time status.

Be available for installers to contact you easily for questions, know whereabouts and progress of crew during the day.

Return to the shop each day to update schedules, finish drawings, debrief installers, etc.

Plan and conduct daily and weekly communications/technical meetings for the installation department.

Follow up field status with crew.

Turn over fittings to shop with completion timelines

Required Qualifications:

HVAC Installation Management Experience

Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.

Basic computer skills required; MS Office and Excel

Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background check

Proven track record in install, with 5+ years in management.

Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals.

Multi-tasker who enjoys challenge

Highly motivated, top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in self and others.

Strong communication skills
