Documentation Manager to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.The Documentation Manager will have responsibility for the overall documentation process and documentation storage schema for a large multi-project program. They will lead a team of technical writers in support of multiple project teams in a highly dynamic environment. The successful candidate will illustrate their ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously to deliver high quality products on time, every time.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing documentation processes for a large multi-project cybersecurity program leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevSecOps and agile development methodologies.
  • Implementing and refining administrative processes for review and release of documents.
  • Leading a team of technical writers who create, format, update, edit, maintain and deliver all program CDRLs, SOPs, User Manuals and other Program documentation.
  • Collaborating with the customer/end-user to capture needs and frame technical documentation in an intuitive and easy to understand format.
  • Creating and maintaining a numeric format and archiving structure for Program Documentation (e.g, CDRLs, Plans, SOPs).
  • Authoring and editing various internal and external documents and reports, as needed.
  • Developing program documentation, as required, which may include: engineering documentation, operational procedures, plans, action reports, and meeting minutes.
Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of technical writing experience including developing communication deliverables such as engineering documentation, plans, action reports, and meeting minutes for internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)- Collaborative tools (SharePoint, MS Teams, Jira, Confluence, Wikis, etc.)
  • Ability to research and analyze complex technical material and break it down into a concise, compelling copy that engages the reader.
  • Demonstrated experience leading geographically dispersed teams that develop documentation including highly technical documentation.
  • Fluid technical writing and editing skills with the ability to develop style guidelines, templates and checklists for technical writing teams to ensure deliverables are high quality and on-schedule.
  • Demonstrated experience as the primary interface with U.S. government customers for CDRLs and other documentation.
  • Experience developing document management processes & document libraries for mid-to-large scale programs.

Desired Experience:
  • Experience with designing Microsoft SharePoint work flows and libraries.
  • Experience with developing MS Teams spaces.
  • Experience in successfully developing documentation for process mapping and process implementation.
  • Familiarity with a variety of internal and external communications vehicles, practices and technologies, including print, electronic, video and social media.
  • Ability to capture meeting discussions at a rapid pace using either shorthand and/or typing fast.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity communications language and subject matter.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity communications language and subject matter.
  • Background in information technology or cybersecurity.
  • Experience working with SAFe, Agile Development and DevSecOps programs.
  • Experience with Adobe creative Suite (creating PDFs and Forms).
  • Experience with creating technical or process diagrams (Microsoft Visio).

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, computer science, or related field
  • Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.
