Sr. Software Engineer - Java/Python/REST Web Services/Data AnalyticsBoca Raton, FL or Alpharetta, GAAs part of an agile team (named Sportsball) every team member work with others in accomplishing the goals set forth by the team based on our business and engineering stakeholders. Typical work day includes attending any agile ceremonies like daily standup, refinement sessions and sprint planning etc. Being a senior member of the team you would be working closely with product team in understanding requirements and guide them in building a high quality product. You will also be working closely with other team members in doing the DevOps work in deploying applications to Azure/AWS and Internal cloud platforms using Kubernetes, Git pipelines etc. Mentoring other team members is expected as part of being a senior member of the team. Taking the ownership and being responsible for yourself and your fellow team members is the main way to achieve success with in the team.Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of software Development Experience
- BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
Technical Skills- Expertise in Java.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Strong knowledge on data structures and algorithms and data analytics.
- Experience developing RESTful and SOAP services in Java and Spring
- Experience with Python scripting language
- Experience with Security Principles
- Strong problem solving skills
The following skills would be a plus:- Cloud Computing applications management and deployment knowledge using DevOps techniques are highly desirable with one or more of the following Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, GCE
- Knowledge of IT configuration management, automation engines such as Ansible or Chef. Ansible is preferred.
