Clinical Nurse - Endocrinology Clinic

Power Personnel has an immediate opening for a 6 -months full time contract Position in a world renowned Endocrinology Clinic!

• Monday-Friday (Negotiable Monday-Thursday)
  8: 00AM – 4: 30 PM
• Mondays (Sunnyvale), Tuesday – Thursday (Palo Alto), alternating every 4th Thursday Los Gatos

• $55 - $60

1. RN clinic visits performing subQ and intermuscular injections:

   1. Cosyntropin stimulation test (IM), leuprolide stimulation test (subQ), hormone replacement injections (subQ and IM), puberty blockers (IM)

2. RN clinic visits providing patient education on:

   1. Procedures: subcutaneous and IM injection of testosterone, subcutaneous injection of growth hormone using pen device, Solu-Cortef injection teaching and stress dosing of hydrocortisone

3. Responding to patient questions via phone calls and Mychart messages:

   1. Triaging phone calls for RNs, MAs, MDs, schedulers
   2. Approve appropriate refill requests and order labs

4. Communicate to pharmacies to clarify orders
5. Call families and patients with lab results and plan per MD
6. Complete prior authorization forms
7. Prepare for clinic with organized calendar
8. Schedule patients for future RN visits
9. Clearly document RN visits and admin tasks

• Spanish language
• Knowledge of outpatient nursing workflows and endocrine pathologies
