What is the specific title of the position? Lead Software Engineer LOCATION: Open to 100% remote. 6 month contract to hire PROJECT: We are building a system for ClientTech Finance to track costs by department for hardware and software maintenance contracts, hardware and software purchases, and labor. This system will eliminate the need for tracking data in spreadsheets, will help ensure data quality by reducing manual input errors, help bring better visibility to costs by department, and streamline the quarterly budget forecasting processes IDEAL BACKGROUND: Ideally, were looking for someone who is strong on UI development in Angular 2+ (we have a good amount of backend, API developers now), has an interest in the business problem, and has great communication/collaboration skills. LOCATION: Will start remotely, but will be expected to come onsite to the location listed on the req. once COVID restrictions are lifted. Cannot provide sponsorship upon conversion. INTERVIEW PROCESS: 2 rounds - Initial 1:1 screening and a 2nd round technical interview with 2 to 4 senior technical interviewers. Video conference is preferred via Teams. MUST HAVES: 7 years of JavaScript/TypeScript Framework experience, preferably using Angular 2+. 7 years of Node.js & Express experience. 7+ years of Relational Database experience, preferably in SQL Server. Excellent communication, especially over virtual meeting technologies like WebEx and MS Teams Interest in the business problem and has the skills to interact with finance personnel (our clients) Excellent collaboration skills to brainstorm on creative solutions to complex problemsTOP REQUIREMENTS: - Development team leadership/management experience (7 years) - TypeScript/JavaScript skills, ideally using Angular and Node.js (7 years) - Strong SQL skills (7 years) What experience will set candidates apart from one another? - Development skill level and experience - Creativity - ability to propose solutions options for complex and sometimes ambiguous problems - Strong communication - ability to communicate and collaborate well with other team membersIs this person a sole contributor or part of a team? What skills/attributes are a must have? - Strong JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge - Experience with Angular 2.x + and Node.js 8.x+ - Strong SQL skills, working with relational database platforms such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. - Team lead experience What skills/attributes are nice to have? - OpenShift - Jenkins - Talend - Git - Finance / accounting backgroundWhere is the work to be performed?
