Our client, one of the top US investment banks, offering securities underwriting and trading, mergers and acquisitions advice, research, private equity investment, and risk management products, is seeking a Business Analyst 2 (Non IT)

Location: Morrisville, NC

Position Type: Contract

Overview of business area or project: The Client Lifecycle Management team is a function in Global Markets Client Onboarding and Lifecycle Management. This team performs various functions, ranging from KYC to Reactivations and Suspensions, to Event Driven Reviews, to Patriot Act Certification. They help with the identification of financial crime related risks and adherence with requirements set out by the US and UK regulators in relation to new and existing clients. These processes are complex and often time sensitive.

Candidate Value Proposition: Individual will be a self-starter who is ready to jump into the role and tackle difficult problems in an ever changing regulatory environment. This will mean taking ownership of various projects, interacting with different stakeholders, and driving analysis through to completion. This is a fast paced, regulatory driven, and pivotal role in the Client Lifecycle Management space, to help the teams keep up with the changes they constantly face.

Key Responsibilities: -Partner with the various Client Lifecycle Management teams to analyze new regulatory requirements, build out processes to adapt to these requirements, document these processes, and roll them out in a controlled manner -Partner with IT teams, project teams, and the BAU teams to roll out new tools, and assess the impact of changes these new tools bring, and any associated risks -Develop processes for monitoring new control reports, including review of exceptions, escalations of exceptions, and mechanisms to track these exceptions through resolution -Create process maps for new workflows that are rolled out to various teams, to detail out the necessary steps required, and touchpoints between each team -Assess work that comes into your queue in a timely manner, and determine the outstanding regulatory requirements to bring cases into Compliance -This is a fast paced role, that requires quick turn-around and excellent stakeholder management skills -You will build positive relationships with business partners and clients, while handling expectations -You will work with various teams to organize and prioritize work -You will identify control gaps and process inefficiencies -Overview of department/team: The Client Lifecycle Management team has 175+ employees, across Raleigh, Pune, Poland, and London. This Business Analyst role will look to partner with individuals across multiple locations and teams.

Challenges contractor will be facing in role: -This role is fast paced, has tight turnaround times, and regulatory driven deadlines. This role will constantly be dealing with new problems that need to be solved.

Essential skills and qualifications: -Bachelor's degree with business related coursework or equivalent -Knowledge of US, UK or EU regulatory environment and general AML and KYC principles (Preferable). -Excellent analytical and problem solving skills -You have strong communication skills; must be responsive, clear, concise, comprehensive, and able to communicate effectively in writing -You have the ability to maintain a controlled environment by recognizing control gaps -Ability to adopt and maintain a logical approach in a highly pressurized environment -Adaptable to change -Must have strong multi-tasking and excellent organizational skills -Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage time, effectively, maintain track of multiple deliverables, and be accustomed to working within tight deadlines

Desired skills and qualifications: -You have 5+ years of banking experience -Ability to design and map out processes
